BRRR Participating Contractor Onboarding
Thank you for your interest in becoming a BRRR Participating Contractor! Follow the steps below to complete onboarding.
1. Submit License and Insurance Documentation
Please submit your valid C-38 license, refrigerant handling license, and general liability and worker's compensation insurance documentation to BRRR program staff at [email protected].
2. Watch the Orientation Video
Next, we'll invite you to watch the BRRR Contractor Orientation Video. Afterwards, email the BRRR program staff at [email protected] with the subject line “Orientation Video” and include in the email body the name of your company and the name(s) of at least one (1) staff member who watched the Orientation Video to confirm this step is completed.
3. Become a City and County of San Francisco Supplier
The BRRR Program is administered by the San Francisco Environment Department on behalf of BayREN. BRRR Participating Contractors must become a Supplier with the City and County of San Francisco in order to be able to receive incentive payments for completed projects. Contractors are responsible for reviewing the City and County of San Francisco policies on the vendor registration process. Becoming a Supplier is a two-step process:
- Become a Registered Bidder. The first step is to complete a short registration process to become a “Registered Bidder.” Click here to become a Registered Bidder.
- Become a Fully Compliant City Supplier. Next, become a Fully Compliant City Supplier. This will allow you to receive incentive payments. Click here to become a Fully Compliant City Supplier.

- Please note that check payments will be sent to the address listed on the W-9 form. Be sure the address on the W-9 matches where you want check payments to be sent. All payments will be made via check unless you sign up for electronic payments.

Once you have completed this process, email your Supplier ID number to the BRRR program staff at [email protected].
Project applications submitted before this step is complete will not be processed.
4. Display Your Company on the BRRR Website
Once the onboarding process is complete, BRRR program staff will contact you to confirm if you would like your company’s information displayed on the Refrigeration Contractor List published on the BRRR website.
