Heat Pump Water Heater Opportunities

Bay Area Air District Rules will phase out the installation of nitrogen oxide (NOx) -emitting water heaters to encourage healthier homes. BayREN is supporting the workforce navigate this transition through two offerings. Check out our resources below: 

Heat Pump Water Heater Trainings

To help contractors and their staffs prepare for the Air District rules, BayREN is hosting in-person Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) trainings across the Bay Area.

Contractor Heat Pump Mentorship Program

The program connects plumbers who want to gain live, hands-on HPWH installation experience with seasoned installers, focused on residential buildings. The first cohort is supporting the workforce in Santa Clara County. The next cohort will be in Alameda County.
